Right - the property has been sold, subject to contract.  What does this mean?  Is our job as estate agents over?  It is easy to think that an estate agent hands everything over to the solicitors and lets them get on with it, because in MOST cases that is what happens.

Once again, Melvin Elgie are different!

For a start, we are happy to remain in contact with you until the very end.  We will need to arrange for a surveyor to visit your home (in most cases) and we can be a great point of contact for everyone who needs to be in touch with you.  We are also your resource for information and guidance, whatever you may require, and will often be in touch with other estate agents throughout the sale process to ensure the 'chain' of properties stays strong, so everyone can move in to the house of their dreams!

There may also be further negotiations which need to take place, and we will still be here to help!
Once you have exchanged contracts, there is nothing we can do to affect the sale of your home, but still we remain your point of contact if there is anything further which can be done to help you.  The ultimate aim is to see you, happy and contented in your nice new home!
